Setting up your Credit Card Processor to work with the 2TouchPOS System.

 

Since October 2015 Credit Card procedures have changed and the global marketplace has a mandate to become EMV Compliant.  The big news is that since the mandate was rolled out; members of the hospitality industry have been actively working on developing solutions that provide the appropriate flexibility.  We want to conduct business the way we always have providing our customers with the flexibility to start a tab, add a tip, and have our transactions posted later in the sales process.

 

What this actually means is we need processing partners who can do the following:

 

• Process tips
• process authorization at the time of the sale but submit transaction later without re-keying information.
• provide a flexible platform
• include a tip line
• provide options for verifying cards when the system is off line or the internet connection is not working
• provide a means to attach a credit card to a tab, verifying and accepting to cash out later.
   
  In the restaurant industry, EMV Credit Card Processing still poses questions; and the solutions have been slow to evolve.  They are still coming.
   
  At 2TouchPOS, we understand that the liability shift to business owners is now a very real concern.  We have developed an EMV Solution for 2Touch version 4.0 and higher.  With our solution we provide increased protection against card skimming, we are working to provide protection against charge backs, and we provide new authentication possibilities.  Finding the right card processing company for all of the attributes that you can use is “mission critical”.  We know that your solutions right now are well; limited.  However, our developers are working to expand options and will continue to explore what payment-processing companies have to offer so that we can bring more options to our business partners.
