Order Routing

Yes we have several ways to route your order!

Our Software has options for the routing of orders.

The setup of printing pathways for menu items to be sent to printers located throughout your establishment can be configured using several different methods. For example 2TouchPOS allows for bar items to print at the bar printer, whereas food menu items will print to kitchen printer. We can drill down deeper to include Cold Kitchen Prep Areas vs. Hot Kitchen Areas. Fryers vs. Line Prep.

And.... if you have designated personnel who need to have requisitions sent based upon their position designation;  the system can accommodate that the minute these employees clock in! For example you have a server working outside and there is a bar on your patio. When the employee clocks in the drinks can be routed to that outdoor patio bar.

We can set up the requisition areas that you need and connect the menu item to each designated area.   When you are setting up your menu items you have a choice to establish your requisition routings to designate where you order will be processed.

Below are some recent perspective customer questions on this topic and our answers:

Routing of orders:

  • Is it completely customizable and to what degree?

The routing of orders is customized to meet customer needs.  This is based upon the establishment configuration and how many preparation areas the establishment may have.

    • Can we have an order where parts of it go to certain monitors and printers and other parts go to other areas?

Additional options include specific set up for requisitions and scenarios that might change recommended configurations.  But yes;  the order items are linked to their perspective preparation areas.

  • Can we have multiple stored configurations?

Additional configurations are available.  Along with origination settings, one precluding another.

Our Account Managers have heard these questions before. They are ready to show you how the requisitions work, and they are ready to answer any additional questions that you might have about the system.  Give us a call!
